Analyzing the Importance of Variables Affecting Chicago's Crime Rate
- Use R to perform multiple linear regression analysis on crime data to find correlations between variables,
and use a random forest model to find important variables for Chicago's high crime rate.
- Intergrate different types of crime data into census tracts using tools such as Python, GeoPandas, and more.
Access report
Evaluating the resiliency index of the road network under flood conditions in Madison, Wisconsin
- Use the OSMnx package and Google Map API in Python to load Madison area road-related data and perform spatial road analysis.
- Select two representative areas in the road network. The performance of the road network was assessed by comparing the connectivity and efficiency indices of roads between the two regions before and after flooding.
- The road betweenness centrality was calculated and the relevant data of the top 2% roads ranked by influence were deleted, and the conclusion was drawn that water level rises exceeding 1.49m would have a greater impact on the road network.
